Upcoming Announcments

The Ionian Village

The Ionian Village is the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America’s summer camp program in Greece. It is a wonderful program, and an opportunity for our young people to meet other Greek Orthodox youth from all over America, and to experience Greece. Two sessions are already filled. Spiritual Odyssey registration (19-30 years old) is still open (July 13-July 28). See www.ionianvillage.org or ask at our church office for more info!

The Sacrament of Holy Confession

A Preparation Guide for Confessing
Without justification or self-pity, make a prayerful examinations of your conscience regarding all things. As a help, reflect on your life in the light of the Ten Commandments. Take pencil and paper and specify your sins so that, at the time of the sacrament, you will be able to make a thorough confession from the list, without confusion or lapse of memory.
I am the Lord your God, and you shall have no other gods before me.

Phase III

Plans for the Phase 3 Expansion of our facilities—to include a gymnasium/hall, new kitchen, meeting space, classrooms, storage space and the renova-tion of our existing building—were presented to our community at a General Assembly last week on March 5th.
Everyone was enthusiastic about the detailed packet of drawings and plans that was handed out, (additional packets are available in the church office) and a virtual tour of the project was presented by Perry Giannopoulos, our parish council president.
Discussion followed and our stewards offered ideas and suggestions. There was a question-and-answer session, and the General Assembly concluded with a very positive and encouraging spirit!
