Rev. Fr. Constantine P. Botsis, Protopresbyter
Father George Lamberis, Presbyter
Father George was born in Downers Grove, IL and grew up at the parish of the Holy Apostles in Westchester, IL. His love for youth ministry began there as he was involved in several leadership roles. In 2004, He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. He graduated from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in 2009. On February 2, 2010, he began working as the pastoral assistant of the Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Elmhurst and was ordained four years later to the date to the Holy Diaconate. He has also assisted with the camping programs, having been a counselor and on staff at the Chicago Metropolis Fanari Camp, Metropolis of Boston Camp, Ionian Village and the Orthodox Metropolis Summer Camp in South Korea.
He and his wife, Diana were married at Saint Demetrios on March 3, 2013. Diana was born and raised in St. Paul, MN and moved to Chicago in 2002. She volunteered as the co-coordinator for the Metropolis of Chicago Young Adult Ministry for several years. She was also employed as a high school guidance counselor until they had children.
Fr. George was assigned to St. Haralambos on February 17, and was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at St. Haralambos. Fr. George and Presvytera Diana have two children named Constantine and Emmanuel.
They are happy and thankful to be a part of the Holy Taxiarhai and Saint Haralambos family!
Father George is currently on the board for the Department of Religious Education of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago and he is also on the Fanari Camp Steering Committee.
Father John Suhayda, Deacon
Deacon Suhayda was born in Baltimore, Maryland and baptized there at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. He grew up in Akron, Ohio, where he was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, and was active in the church school, GOYA, and the Metropolis of Pittsburgh summer camp programs. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and received a Master of Divinity from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. He was ordained a deacon by His Eminence Metropolitan Iakovos of Chicago at Holy Taxiarhai - St. Haralambos in 1991, where he has served ever since.
Nicholas Harisiadis, Protopsaltis
Mr. Harisiadis served as the protopsalti of St. Demetrios, Elmhurst for the last 7 years and he is a member of “St. John of Damascus league of Chanters”.
