The AGAPE ministry was organized to assist families who may be struggling with hardship during this recent pandemic. The ministry’s mission is to provide essential food items to families in need.
Please take this opportunity to think about any parishioner who may benefit from this ministry. These difficult circumstances invite our St. Haralambos family to come together and “bear one another’s burdens”(Galatians 6:2).
As we begin to implement the Agape Ministry, the Myrrh-bearers who we celebrate tomorrow, come to mind. In times of danger, they courageously and boldly offered themselves to the service of their Lord. The men asked for the body and offered Him a tomb. The women, in the middle of the night, risked their lives by approaching a sealed tomb guarded by soldiers. Through their efforts, and motivated by their Christian Agape, they were among the first to witness the Resurrected Christ!
Together, may we imitate the courage, perseverance and Agape of these Holy Myrrh-bearers to witness renewal and Resurrection within our parish family.
“A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”
